Ray Allen: Rashard Lewis Won't Want to Be a Sonic If I'm Not

I really can't decide if this is incredible egotism or just thoughtfulness about a teammate, but Ray Allen told Frank Hughes of the TNT he doesn't think Rashard Lewis will want to play for a Ray-less Sonics:

“Now that I’m no longer there, I’m not even sure Rashard is going to want to come back. He wants to win and you almost think they are starting to rebuild with all these young players. I’m not sure Rashard is going to want to be a big brother to all these young guys.”
Hard for me to imagine that Lewis is bummed about playing with maybe the most talented player to come out of college in 20 years, but I don't know the guy, Ray Allen does.

As Hughes points out, the Sonics can offer Lewis more money than any other team, and GM Sam Presti has said they are going to try to sign him.

And as I said yesterday, a starting five of 6-4 Delonte West, 6-10 Rashard Lewis, 6-9 Jeff Green, 6-9 Kevin Durant and 6-10 Chris Wilcox?

You think that might create a few match-up problems for opposing teams? Holy cow. At the very least, it would be incredibly fun to watch.
