Hargrove Stepping Down, McLaren is New Manager

KOMO-1000 is reporting that today's game will be Mike Hargrove's last as Mariner manager. John McLaren will take over on a permanent basis.

Hargrove will appear at a press conference at 11:30 to explain.

UPDATE: Shannon Dreyer says she's told it is "not health-related." KOMO just read a press release from the team which included a quote from Hargrove that (I paraphrase, don't have it in front of me: "I cannot continue to manage the Mariners when my passion for the job has begun to wane."
