When I heard about the Jose Offerman bat attack, my first thought was--where was Carl Everett during all of this? Everett is a Long Island Ducks teammate of Offerman's, and knowing the Dinosaur Hunter's proclivity for aggressive behavior, I was curious whether he'd gotten involved.
Well, a time-lapse photography video of the incident just hit the web, and check out this still image:
What it looks like to me is Everett (who wears #8, I checked the roster) removing the bat from the field of battle and walking away from the melee.
Boy, when Carl Everett's the least crazy player on your team...
