The Angels (hated division rivals) host the Yankees (hated wild card rivals) in a three-game set starting tomorrow. It's one of those series where we won't know who we ought to have been rooting for until the season ends, but we can say for sure what the M's playoff picture will look like when we go to bed Wednesday.

It's a dizzying scene, no? (In case you are wondering, the Tigers are now 3 behind the Yankees, so the Yankees are guaranteed to be at least in a tie for the 2nd place in the wild card standings Wednesday night, no matter what happens in the Central.)
Here are the pitching matchups for the Angels/Yankees series:
Monday: Phil Hughes (2-1, 4.44) vs. Dustin Moseley (4-2, 4.84)
Tuesday: Mike Mussina (8-8, 4.76) vs. Kelvim Escobar (13-6, 2.68)
Wednesday: Andy Pettitte (10-7, 3.80) vs. John Lackey (15-7, 3.32)
