Huskies' Russo Probably Out for Syracuse Game

Anthony Russo, who has the most career receptions of any active Husky, is projected to miss a month after breaking his pinkie in practice, the Times' Bob Condotta writes.

That would make Corey Williams, who hasn't caught a TD pass since 2003, a starter alongside Marcel Reese. Cody Ellis (27 career rec.) and Quintin Daniels (24 career rec.) move up a spot. All four of these guys are seniors. Sophomore D'Andre Goodwin (zilch) is the other guy on the depth chart.

Two recruits Willingham signed to add some depth to the receiver position didn't qualify academically, so the Huskies are a little thin. Moreover, looking at the senior-heavy nature of the receiving corps, you have to figure it's JC or bust in 2008.
