Incidentally, if Faulk had been as good a collegian as Emtman was, he would've led his San Diego State Aztecs past Miami in '91, and the Huskies would've won the National Championship outright. So there. BOOOO on you Marshall Faulk.

You have to admit that Steve Emtman’s NFL career left a little to be desired considering how thoroughly he dominated at the college level. I wouldn’t necessarily say that he was the most over-paid rookie ever, that title would probably have to go to one Mr. Ryan Leaf (fucking Cougar), but I wouldn’t exactly call Faulk’s comments controversial. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a life-long Husky fan, but I don’t think taking a jab at the most prominent Dawg to fail on the professional level automatically makes you an assclown.
I should probably also disclose that I have a bit of soft spot for Marshall Faulk. I always thought he was one of the classiest people ever to run the ball in the NFL. The guy made up for his physical deficiencies by hard work, determination, and smarts. In my opinion he’s put together the best 3-year stretch in the post-Sanders era. I’m happy to see him doing commentary.
Now if he'd been insulting Tui, it'd be a different story altogether...
