Pennant Race in Seattle: Lackey vs. Batista

Yesterday, the M's couldn't do anything against Vicente Padilla, a pitcher they'd creamed in two previous 2007 starts.

Tonight, let's hope the pattern continues, and the M's cream John Lackey, a pitcher the M's haven't been able to do anything against in two previous 2007 starts.

Lackey's 2-0 against the M's year, and hasn't allowed a run in 15 innings.

Beltre and Sexson have been particularly useless, the two are a combined 0-13 against Lackey in '07. Sexson historically had hit Lackey pretty well, but he'd done a lot of things historically well until 2007. Maybe with his better play will come a return to form against Lackey.

Batista is 2-1 against the Angels--they creamed him in April, he dominated them in that series in L.A. earlier this month. Vlad's hit Batista very well, but, I mean, newsflash.

Go M's!!!!
