"Juuuust a Little Slower, Hobbs"--Hargrove to Manage BeeJays

Mike Hargrove's decided to resume his managerial career. For a semi-pro team. In Kansas. Called the "BeeJays."

Is he under the impression that he was banned from baseball or something?

BeeJay fans (and who among us isn't one) meet your new manager.

In a statement I made up, Hargrove said, "We BeeJays have a hard season ahead of us."

Hargrove is a former BeeJay (oh man, this will never get old), he "spent" a summer with the team as an undergrad at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

More recently, Hargrove's son Andy wore a BeeJay uniform. (Ha!)

BeeJay GM Bob Carlisle said, "Recruiting should be just a breeze this year." Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure about that, unless the main competition is nicknamed the Come Sox.

And we can be sure of one player who's not signing a BeeJay contract (ha ha!) anytime soon.
