HoRam doesn't get an out, M's lose 6-2.
McLaren's decision to start HoRam may have extinguished the M's flickering playoff chances, and he seemed to grasp the import of his mistake. "I'm emotionally upset," he told reporters.
Yankees won, but M's lost a game to Detroit, who's also ahead of them. It's NYY, DET (2.5 GB) and M's (5.5 GB).
Huskies lost, here are my thoughts, which upon second reading are a little rough on Locker. Steve Kelley had a more optimistic, forward-thinking look.
After Garfield got blown out and the Huskies followed, the Seahawks had better win or my weekend has been an unmitigated disaster.
Seahawks today at 1pm. Cardinals' storyline is "can Leinart bounce back?" Seahawks storyline is "is our defense really good, or do the Bucs just stink?"

This has been a bad football weekend thus far. All three Auburn high school teams lost close games - including a heart-breaker for Riverside, which saw Enumclaw get a touchdown pass on 4th and goal at the 4 with no time left on the clock.
Um.. then there's the Huskies. I'm trying to stay positive, so I'm not going to write about it.
The Seahawks need to bring the pain or I might have to start watching baseball again. Oh wait... (grumble)
It was a disappointing loss for the Huskies, but there are definitely things to be excited about. Sure, Locker made some rookie mistakes, but he'll learn from those (hopefully). And his speed in getting out of the pocket and to the outside make him a very, very dangerous QB.
On a side note, the Yankees actually lost yesterday.
