"Dickie V" probably doesn't get within 1,000 miles of this, but, whatever.
Washington is #35, here's what "Dickie V" says: "Jon Brockman leads the way as Lorenzo Romar wonders what would have been if Spencer Hawes came back."
Not so sure about that--I think Romar knew Hawes was NBA-bound the whole time. Shock of the century: Dick Vitale's intern does not have his finger on the pulse of Pac-10 basketball.
Other teams of interest, and Dickie V's "analysis":
5. UCLA: Darren Collison will be the maestro man, leading a very good club. Ben Howland welcomes the premier high school player of the year in Kevin Love, and he will provide an immediate impact up front.
10. Oregon: Ernie Kent has a veteran nucleus returning. Even without Aaron Brooks, this will be a tough team to beat out west.
13. Stanford: It helps to have the Lopez twins in the lineup.
16. Washington State: The Cougars won't sneak up on anybody this season.
17. USC: OJ Mayo and friends will rock and roll. Tim Floyd would have had a top 10 team if Gabe Pruitt and Nick Young came back; they didn't.
23. Gonzaga: Mark Few will play anyone, any place, any time. His team will be prepared. (translation--I have no idea who's on Gonzaga)
27. Arizona: Chase Budinger has some help with 6-3 newcomer Jerryd Bayless.

Thanks for the analysis there Dickie V
In other words the Dogs are 7th in the Pac 10.
Personally, I was disappointed in Hawes' decision. I think he could have dramatically improved his NBA stock -- not to mention the Huskies' chances in the Pac-10 -- with another season in college.
No offense, Kevin - But I'm not sure there's a helluva lot of improvement on 10th overall for Spencer Hawes. Even if he moves up to 7th or 8th, would it really have been worth risking injury or risk having his draft stock fall?
