Seattle Sports: In the Morning

Here are my thoughts about the Seahawks game and about the Husky game. Ugh.

Lots of booing yesterday, especially after bad Shaun Alexander runs and questionable Matt Hasselbeck decisions. Alexander told reporters: "I think [the fans] are feeling the same things that we all feel. They want to see the four touchdown games, and the 200 yard games. We all want that. I can’t blame them."

Defensive tackle Chuck Darby was carted off with an apparent knee injury in the second half. Tests are forthcoming but Holmgren said he thought it was serious.

Art Thiel points out that the Saints' blitz packages may have confused first-time starter Leonard Weaver.

Of all the local columnists, TNT's Dave Boling is the only one with answers. His prescription: 1) Go short with the passing game to get Hasselbeck back on track. 2) bench Alexander and put Weaver at tailback.

Seahawks host winless St. Louis on Sunday. Huskies host Oregon on Saturday. Cougars have a bye.
