It's a rare thing to win a football game with less than ten completions--at least it has been in the 20th century. The Dawgs managed the feat today against California,
Husky wins with less than 10 completions since 1997:
11/17/2007: vs. Cal, 37-23; 7 completions
10/9/2004: vs. San Jose St., 21-6; 7 completions
11/21/1998: at Wazzu, 16-9; 8 completions
10/4/1997: vs. Arizona St.; 8 completions
In 1975 and 1976, Don James' first two years, the Huskies won games in which they only completed two passes.
The 1964 Huskies won a game in which they didn't complete a single pass. That win, like this one, came against Cal--the Dawgs threw only twice, and one of those was intercepted. They rushed 57 times for 298 yards and beat the Bears 21-16.
Carl Bonnell's stats today: 7/19 for 108 yards. Most importantly, no interceptions.
