Pistons 107, Sonics 103

A new look personnel-wise in this one:

Luke Ridnour got his first start of the season.
Kurt Thomas saw his first action of the season.
Earl Watson--the opening day starter at point--didn't play.
Johan Petro didn't play.
Robert Swift was down to 12 minutes, and is going on the injured list--his knee still hurts.

And the Sonics, after going down 15 in the opening quarter, crawled back to tie it with 2:35 left after a Kurt Thomas 18-footer. Then Durant got a steal, and they had a chance to take the lead. But Nick Collison missed a jumper, and Detroit got the next two baskets. Once again, the Sonics couldn't pull out a win.

Didn't help that Rip Hamilton dropped 32 points. I'm not sure how well the whole Durant at the two experiment is working out.

They are now 0-7, the worst start in franchise history, and are looking at a five-game roadtrip, starting Tuesday at Orlando. The Super play three other Southeast Division teams (Miami, Atlanta and Charlotte) before winding up the trip at Memphis.

Their next home game is the day after Thanksgiving against the Nets--by which time I may be a Blazers fan.
