Seattle Sports: In the Morning

Jake Locker was named Pac-10 freshman of the year. Also, Rankin and Juan Garcia made the 2nd-team offense.

Kevin Durant is Western Conference rookie of the month.

The Seahawks would clinch the NFC West with a win over Arizona on Sunday, due to some tiebreaker stuff.

Brandon Roy had been in a slump. No more, as his 26 points, 9 boards, and 7 assists led Portland over Memphis. It was the Blazers' first road win of the year.

Husky football recruiting: Beach lineman Alameda Ta'amu is expected to commit to Washington. Scout.com ranks Ta'amu as the #3 recruit in the state. It would give Washington three of the top five recruits in the state, with two more yet to commit.
