Seattle Sports: In the Morning

Now that the Knicks suck, Durant's first NBA trip to MSG had less luster. Still he had 35 points, including a game-sealing drive and dunk, and the Sonics won 117-110. On the NBA.com highlights, Peter Vecsey compares Durant to Bob Pettit. You'll also want to check those out for the sick shake n bake Jamal Crawford puts on Durant...it's a great angle from beneath the basket, it's like Crawford's coming right at you.

The Mariners traded Ben Broussard for a minor league infielder, and offered a contract to Ho-Ram.

Husky football picked up a talented recruit--Chris Polk, who Scout.com ranks the #9 running back in the country. Polk reneged on a commitment to USC because he can play receiver right away at Washington.

The Seahawks finally did make it official that they're switching long snappers.

Larry Stone of the Times interviews Chuck Armstrong about the Mitchell Report. Armstrong says the M's cooperated fully, providing medical reports and anything else that was requested.

Seattle Prep's football coach resigned.
