As I speculated yesterday, the announced reason for Adrian Oliver's transfer--homesickness--was not the primary reason he left the program.
Dan Raley of the P-I has the real story.
Reached Tuesday night, Oliver said his reasons for departing were two-fold: a pressing family matter and disenchantment with his UW basketball role, neither of which he was willing to discuss in detail.Oliver, who's from the Bay Area, says he might try to transfer to Cal or Stanford.
"I know I see myself as a big-time player in this league," he said. "I didn't see myself being that sort of player in this program."
