My New Project: SportsNW Magazine

Monday I'm starting as executive editor of a new magazine, SportsNW. It's from the people who do Seattle Sound magazine. We're putting together the launch issue now, it'll come out mid-March. You'll be able to pick it up in sports bars, outside sporting events, and probably my Grandma will have a few copies.

Eventually, this blog will migrate over there, where I'll not only be doing the usual roundup, but tons and tons more good stuff. Maybe a little slow at first, since I have to figure out how the hell to run a magazine, but eventually I envision interviews with players, reports from the locker room, all the good stuff that a blog about Northwest sports should have. (Yeah, that's Northwest sports, so expect a lot more info about the Cougs, Zags, Blazers, Ducks, Beavers, and Yakama Sun Kings). (well, maybe not so much about the Sun Kings).

I'm pretty excited--perhaps not as excited as I was in the picture above, after the Seahawks beat the Cowboys in the 2006 Wild Card game, and my roommate brought back the above sign that had been left at Qwest by some disgusted Cowboy fans--but excited nonetheless.
