Yesterday's Action

Denver 138, Sonics 96 [ESPN]: If you need to know anything other than the final score about this one, it's that the Nuggets shot 67%. That's a Nuggets franchise record. Yowza.
Sonics 15-42. Next game Friday vs. Heat.

Blazers 82, Clippers 80 [ESPN]: It wasn't pretty, but the Blazers stopped a three-game losing streak by beating the Cassell-less, Kaman-less Clippers. Corey Maggette abused Portland for 32 points, but missed a potential go-ahead 15-footer. Credit this win to the much-maligned Jarrett Jack, he had 13 fourth-quarter points.
Blazers 30-28, 5 GB of 8th playoff spot. Next game Friday vs. Lakers.

Both Seattle teams are out of the 4A tourney. Franklin was upset by Federal Way, 63-58, and Garfield got demolished by Ferris, 68-39.

Today's action:
M's vs. San Diego, 12:05pm, KOMO 1000.
UW @ Stanford, 7pm, KJR 950.
Wazzu @ Cal, 8pm, FSN.

4A Boys State Tourney Quarterfinals from Tacoma:

Federal Way vs. Lincoln, 5pm.
Edmonds-Woodway vs. Ferris, 7pm.

Bill Simmons is going to have a mailbag limited entirely to "Seattle fans releasing their collective anguish and hatred." See the last question asked at:
