Both The Oklahoman and the Seattle P-I reported on comments Christine Gregoire made about the Sonics situation. Here are Gregoire's comments:
We're not done talking about what we are going to do this session. We're still talking. [However, Clay Bennett says that the Sonics are] unequivocally not for sale. At some point we have to accept that. Having said that, I am encouraged that we can hopefully be able to get an NBA team in Washington state, and I'll do everything I can, if it's at all possible, to have that team named the Sonics.Now--given these exact same comments, here is the Seattle P-I headline:
Gregoire upbeat on Sonics
And here is the headline from the Oklahoman:
Washington governor gives up: Official says there is no saving Sonics
Make of this what you will.

Doesn't OKC's ownership group own the media down there? Not surprising.
