Luke Ridnour Is Very Confused About His Job

Luke Ridnour did an interview with HoopsWorld that centers largely on Ridnour's Christianity.

Asked to assess the role of his religion in his life, Ridnour told interviewer Ryan McNeill: "Yes, my beliefs are a very big part of my life. It gets me through (struggles). That's why I'm here (in the NBA), to share the gospel."

Huh. Now I don't want to come off as anti-religion here (I am, as far as I know, still a confirmed member of the Congregational Church)--but it seems to me that the Sonics aren't paying Luke Ridnour $6.5 million to "share the gospel."

The Sonics are paying Luke Ridnour to share the basketball with the f****** hoop, something he's been doing at the pathetic rate of 2.2 field goals per game.

NBA players who have scored more baskets than Luke Ridnour this season:
Travis Diener
Daequan Cook
Johan Petro

Now I know Ridnour is nominally a point guard, but with their personnel, the Sonics need scoring. Gospel sharing alone won't do. Let's face it, prayer can only get you so far as a pro athlete.
