Inara Verzemnieks of The Oregonian followed Portland State's Kyle Coston around for a day, to get a feeling for what it's like for a small college player who's made the big dance. The result is pure magic.

How are you today, Kyle?

"I'm WONDERFUL!" And he says it just like that.

After they beat Northern Arizona to secure a spot in the tournament, as soon as he turned his phone on, he already had 25 messages.

"All the young people were texting, and all the old people left voicemails."

High school friends: "I've got PSU in my bracket!"

"Alright . . .," Kyle says. "You might lose some money -- but alright. Thanks!"

His dad's buddies, calling to say they saw him on ESPN. Men he played H-O-R-S-E with growing up.

Everywhere he goes, girls hug him. One jumps on his back. "When are you leaving?" and she gives him a plastic Easter egg filled with candy. (Bit-O-Honey).

If you don't get a smile on your face reading this, you are Dick Cheney. Seriously fantastic. Do they give awards for this stuff? They must, right?
