UCLA 67, Stanford 64 [ESPN]: Brook Lopez only took 14 shots in this game because UCLA was able to put enough perimeter pressure on Stanford's guards--specifically Mitch Johnson--to keep Lopez from getting good entry passes. Also, Johnson couldn't stay in front of Darren Collison, who scored 28 points. Johnson can be very effective--as he was against the Cougars' less menacing guards. Against a guard with Collison's defensive abilities, he's the Cardinal's weak link.
Blazers 107, Minnesota 96 [ESPN]: LaMarcus Aldridge had 26--his fifth consecutive 20-point game--and Brandon Roy had 25. Roy picked up a technical foul for arguing with an official, it's his first career tech. The win was Nate McMillan's 300th as an NBA coach.
Blazers 35-32, 7GB of 8th playoff spot. Next game Tuesday vs. Phoenix.
San Francisco 14, Mariners 8 [ESPN]: Kenji Johjima hit a first inning grand slam off of Barry Zito (whose spring training ERA stands at 14.92), but Eric Bedard coughed up the lead, allowing eight runs (six earned) in four innings--including three homers. Sean Green also got shellacked, allowing six runs and getting only one out.
