Sonics/Blazers Rivalry Ends in...Compassion

After all those heated games between the Sonics and Blazers, this could be the last one.

Blazers Edge feels bad for us, and so pens a poem of compassion.

Save Our Sonics plans a rally before the event at Ozzie's and chants during the game.

As for that on-court protest that Bill Simmons suggested? The Save Our Sonics people say it won't happen, but one commenter on the Times' site says it will...so this could get pretty interesting.

Meanwhile, the city's still trying to find $150 million to fund Steve Ballmer's bailout plan, and say that, regardless, they will hold the Sonics to their lease.

And the game should be a real barnburner, with Chris Wilcox out for sure, Earl Watson questionable, and Michael Gelebale (in case you hadn't heard) out for the year with an ACL tear. This team would be a #12 seed.

The game's at 7pm at Key Arena.
