A Thursday Morning of Madness

After waking at 7am to finish my brackets, I hop in the car, drop in at work for an hour or so, and then off to The Attic in Madison Park--I get there just as the Kansas/Portland St. game begins. My companion and I are the only people in the bar--he arrived a few minutes before me, before they'd even had coffee ready.

Chose The Attic because they have the most reliable breakfast offerings. As Portland St. desperately tries to keep up with Kansas by tossing up a barrage of threes, my Denver omelet comes. Yum. See, they do breakfast right.

Miracle team Georgia opens up a big lead on Xavier, causing me to curse myself for listening to the siren song of the high-seeded mid-major. If Gonzaga has taught us anything, it's not to pick a mid-major with a high seed.

As The Attic has no wi-fi, I haul back to the office, do some work, then down to the Pyramid--where my computer says I should get wifi, but I can't. Which is annoying, and which is why pictures will come later.

And as I get there, turns out that Xavier has turned it around. They are now up five points. I never doubted them. Nope, not for a second.

Over at Sluggers, they have an interesting set-up for the Kentucky/Marquette game. There are four different feeds of the game, all on four different timestamps. "I'm going to get a seizure," my friend says.

Now the TV's have switched--the audio is now the Oral Roberts/Pitt game, with Gus Johnson on the call. Yes.
