Mariners 9, Colorado 4 [ESPN]: Ichiro had two hits including a home run, and the Mariners scored nine runs off of Rockies phenom Franklin Morales to take the game. Beltre also homered. Batista pitched five innings, allowed two ER and struck out five.
Today @ San Francisco, 3:05pm start.
UCLA 57, USC 54 [ESPN]: Caught the last few minutes of this and it was tremendously entertaining, as OJ Mayo hit shot after shot to keep the Trojans in the game. He missed a game-tying three at the buzzer, though. Kevin Love had a double-double for the Bruins, who advance to the championship game.
Minnesota 121, Seattle 116 [ESPN]: On a night when the Rockets got their 21st win in a row, the Sonics absorbed their 50th loss. The Sonics shot over 50%, but didn't play any defense. God, they are fucking terrible.
Sonics 16-50 (!!!!). Next game Sunday @ Denver, the Nuggets may score 150.
Stanford 75, Wazzu 68 [ESPN]: Too much Brook Lopez. Too, too much. Brook Lopez getting feeds from Mitch Johnson and dunking the ball, Brook Lopez snagging rebounds with his long arms, Brook Lopez blocking shots, Brook Lopez getting crazy shooter's bounces on the shots that he didn't swish. The Cougs stayed in the game with their perimeter shooting, but they simply could not get a stop.
Wazzu 24-8, Next game Thurs. or Fri. in NCAA tourney. Bracketology has Wazzu as a #6 seed.
