When Garfield High principal Ted Howard hired, then abruptly fired, a coach for Tony Wroten the Bulldogs' boys basketball team, I thought that he'd gone nuts.
No!
Instead, Garfield High principal Ted Howard is a genius--if belatedly so. He clearly predicted that all he had to do is wait a week and--pow! Two qualified candidates fall right into our purple arms!
Whether Howard chooses Avery Johnson or Mike D'Antoni to coach Garfield shouldn't matter--after this brilliant maneuver, I won't be second-guessing his choice...at least until the first Franklin game.
