McLaren Shuffles Deck Chairs on Titanic

The P-I's John Hickey reports on some changes to the Mariner lineup. Same crappy hitters, new batting order. Writes Hickey:

3B Adrian Beltre will move up to the cleanup spot where Richie Sexson had been for the first six games.

Brad Wilkerson, the right fielder who has one hit in six games, moves from sixth to fifth.

And Sexson drops down to sixth.

McLaren hasn't explained himself yet, but Hickey speculates that this is an effort to get Wilkerson better pitches to hit...thus far he's been hitting in front of Vidro. Why teams would be scared of Richie Sexson is beyond me, but Hickey says they are--Sexson does have five walks in six games.
