Unless There Are Two Robert Eugene Bernards in Seattle, The Hawks' Rocky Bernard Got Booked for Domestic Violence Assault

Slog reports that Rocky Bernard--or, at least, someone with his exact name, was arrested for domestic violence assault early this morning.

Here's the arrest record from King County's jail inmate lookup.

Sean Locklear, you'll remember, was arrested for domestic violence six days before Super Bowl XL, the Hawks ended up starting him anyway and got their judgment from God in the form of terrible officiating.

Bryce Fisher was also arrested for DV while a Seahawk--those charges were eventually dismissed.

And of course Julio Mateo of the Mariners, who bit his wife's face last May. The Mariners exiled Mateo to Tacoma, then traded him to Philadelphia. Mateo's now in the San Francisco organization, in fact, he pitched against the Rainiers a couple of weeks ago.

Still, that was rather an easy move for the Mariners--Mateo was a bit player in the bullpen. Bernard's one of the best players on the Seahawks defense.

Locklear's screw-up was before the NFC championship game. Still, huge mistake before a huge game.
