Wednesday's Action

Mariners 7, Tampa Bay 1 [ESPN]: Jarrod Washburn was terrific and Jamie Burke had a three-run homer playing for the slumping Johjima. Catcher controversy?
M's 4-5, 1.5 GB of LA. Next game today @ TB at 9:40am.

Houston 103, Sonics 80 [ESPN]: Against the woeful Sonics, the Rockets felt comfortable resting Tracy McGrady, though they're in the midst of a playoff race. Didn't matter--five Rockets scored in double figures and Houston ran away from the Sonics. Durant had 26 points on 10-23 shooting.
Sonics 18-61. Next game Friday @ San Antonio. Reminder--Sunday, against the Mavs, could be their final game in Seattle.

Tacoma 5, Fresno 1 [MiLB]: RA Dickey had a no-hitter through seven and 2/3rds. Wladimir Balentien hit a grand-slam for Tacoma (after I'd interviewed him pre-game--I must be good luck).
Rainiers 4-2, Today vs. Fresno.
