Today's Target: Chien-Ming Wang

Just Win, Baby: Wang's position as a terrific pitcher on an offensive powerhouse has put him on a historic pace. If he can maintain his current .739 winning percentage, he'll have the highest winning percentage of any fourth-year starting pitcher ever. Dwight Gooden, the current record holder after four years, was 73-26 for a .737 winning percentage.

What Wang Throws: Groundballs, as a result of his sinking fastball. Last year, Wang was sixth-best in the majors at throwing grounders--batters hit worm-burners 58% of the time against him. This year, he's at 52%.

What the M's Can Do: Brad Wilkerson might actually have been useful here--he was 3-3 against sinkerballer Fausto Carmona on Tuesday in Cleveland. Vidro had a couple of XBH against Carmona, but isn't in the lineup tonight with Clement at DH.
