After Randy Johnson struck out Mike Cameron to pass Roger Clemens for #2 on the all-time list, it seems like a good time to look back at some of his other career milestone strikeouts.
1st career K: Orestes Destrade of Pittsburgh, 9/15/88.
1st K as a Mariner: Rickey Henderson of NYY, 5/30/89.
1,000th K: Chuck Knoblauch of Minnesota, 7/28/93.
1,079th K as a Mariner (passing Mark Langston for franchise lead): Bo Jackson of Anaheim, 6/20/94.
1st Postseason K: Don Mattingly of NYY, 10/6/1995.
2,000th K: Ben Grieve of Oakland, 9/27/97. (This was the last game of the year, Johnson came out of the pen and pitched two innings to get his 20th win of the season.)
Final K as a Mariner: Sandy Alomar of Cleveland, 7/28/98. (Johnson finished with 2,162 Ks as a Mariner, by far the franchise leader. Next is Jamie Moyer at 1239.)
1st K as a Diamondback: Mark Grudzielanek, 4/5/99.
3,000th K: Mike Lowell of Florida, 9/10/00.
4,000th K: Jeff Cirillo of San Diego, 6/29/04.
After last night's 8K game, Johnson has 4,780 strikeouts, 934 shy of Nolan Ryan for the all-time lead.

not significant, but a kinda neat observation - other than his first strikeout victim, all of randy's other milestone K's listed in this post have come against people that have made an all star game.
