1985 Seahawks Music Video–On YouTube!

FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 2007

I’ve been looking for this on YouTube for more than two years now, and somebody–bless you, ppankow–finally posted it.

OK–Get ready to see Mike Tice dance!

I think it’s kind of funny that the lead singer on that is Michael Jackson, the former UW linebacker who happens to share a name with the King of Pop.

This was released during the 1985 pre-season by KING-5. The Hawks’ AFC Championship appearance had been in ’83–in ’84 they lost Curt Warner for the year to injury on his first run of the year and still went 12-4. They were considered a true Super Bowl contender, and well worthy of a video.

This video came out before the Bears’ famous Super Bowl Shuffle video, which wasn’t recorded until just before the ’85 playoffs.

A local note–it was written and produced by Pat Cashman, best known for his work on Almost Live. And the 2nd cameraman credited is Darrell Sato, who we all know as Billy Qwan.

Thanks to Jeff Schell for the production info and for finding this!
